AWS1 input → 2 outputs
SQS Send
Sends a single message to an SQS queue (standard or FIFO).
Inputs
Outputs
Output 1 — Success Output 2 — ErrorHow to Use
- Select an AWS config node (or create one with your AWS credentials/region).
- Enter the Queue URL, or supply it at runtime via
msg.payload.queueUrl. - Optionally set a static Message Body, or send the payload as-is / via
msg.payload.messageBody. - For FIFO queues, set Message Group ID (required) and Message Dedup ID (unless content-based dedup is enabled on the queue).
- Wire the output: Output 1 = success (
msg.payload.MessageId), Output 2 = AWS error.
ConnectHealth Example
Publish a FHIR sync event for downstream processing:
msg.payload = {
queueUrl: "https://sqs.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/123456789012/fhir-sync.fifo",
messageBody: { patientRef: "Patient/epic-A-123", eventType: "updated" },
messageGroupId: "epic-hospital-A"
};
// Output 1 on success:
msg.payload = {
success: true,
MessageId: "d6b3f1d2-...-6b1a",
sequenceNumber: "18849...002"
}
Best Practices
- Never place PHI directly in Message Attributes — attributes are metadata and may be logged by consumers; keep PHI in the message body only.
- For FIFO queues, choose a stable Message Group ID (e.g. per hospital/tenant) to preserve ordering within that group.
- Use Output 2 to wire an error-handling branch (e.g. log the error and retry or alert).
